Westside Skateshop brings the best of skateboarding to Tarpon Springs, FL. Skateboarder owned and operated for well over a decade, the shop was first opened in 1997 by John Montesi, a former pro for New Deal skateboards. Westside has continually supported local skaters, visiting pros, and has consistently put out top-notch videos, cementing its reputation as a hub of the Tarpon Springs skate community.

X Games Showdown is a brand new, social-first, community-voted skateboarding competition where 16 hand-selected skate shops representing towns across the country will battle it out to determine which town in America has the best skateboarders.
In the ultimate battle of hometown pride, skate shops will shoot, edit and submit their own 2-minute video part to be voted on in a bracket contest for the chance to win the 10,000 cash prize and take home the inaugural X Games Showdown winner title.
Over the course of the month, participating shops will battle head to head until a deserving winner emerges on May 31st. Follow along to see a new match up almost every day this month & vote for your favorite!
