In this weeks discussion, I go over Jon Snow’s Targaryen heritage. Jon learns late in Game of Thrones that he is actually the trueborn son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Lady Lyanna Stark of Winterfell. This makes him an heir to the Iron Throne with a claim stronger than Daenerys. But Jon never claims the throne. Daenerys destroys King’s Landing and Drogon destroys the Iron Throne. There’s nowhere and nothing from Jon to rule from. Jon kills Dany is is sent into exile. But just because the Hidden Heir didn’t claim the queen and the throne, doesn’t mean Jon was Targaryen for nothing.
