The United States has announced a new maritime security force in response to attacks by Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The Iran-backed militants seized this British-owned cargo ship last month.

Since then, the rebels’ attacks have damaged several vessels and led to multiple ships being stopped in the Red Sea.
