recently I heard about Topaz video enhancer which uses AI to clean up compressed videos so i set out to try it with everybody’s favourite compressed DS visual novel anime opening (along with some AE noise removal)!

my takeaways are:
-it’s definitely clearer. closeup shots of uhh fuck i forget their names, ethan and kori you can see that they look much better
-less blocky thanks to both noise and AI, i guess, but…
-YOU CAN’T REALLY TELL WHEN EVERYTHING’S IN MOTION
-the audio was custom spliced together from the much better quality full version
-did you know you can play this song in DDR?
