John Connor (Nick Stahl) is 22 years old at this point, and after the death of his mother, he lives in anonymity, unwilling to face his impending fate. But his fate is not his own. After two failed attempts, Skynet sends the more advanced T-X Terminator (Kristanna Loken) after him, and the humans send back the T-850 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a modified version of the T-800, as well as the T-850, which is the first of the T-800s.
