This video tells the story of the discovery of SNR G107.5-5.2, the Nereides Supernova Remnant in Cassiopeia. Currently, the largest known supernova remnant to ever be discovered by amateur astronomers.

This nebula was discovered and photographed as an international effort alongside my friends Marcel Drechsler, Yann Sainty, Nicolas Martino, and Richard Galli. We found and photographed this entirely with telescopes available to consumers.

We hope you enjoy the video and the discovery, full resolution images can be found here: https://www.astrobin.com/towmdb/
