On the 24th of February 2011, the quiet of the afternoon was suddenly shattered by the piercing wail of sirens.
Neighbours emerged from their homes concerned, as smoke began to billow from the windows of Jackie’s Child Care.
Firefighters rushed toward the engulfing flames, attempting to extinguish the fire and rescue the nine children trapped inside the daycare.
However, it was too late; tragically, four children lost their lives, and two more were severely burned and injured.
How had the fire started? Where was Jessica Tata, the owner of the daycare? How did this tragedy occur under the supervision of the person who had been trusted to watch over the children?
