Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York has been diagnosed with malignant melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer. This is the duchess’s second cancer diagnosis in a year. A routine mammogram over the summer revealed she had breast cancer and she underwent a mastectomy.

A spokesman for the duchess explained that her dermatologist requested the removal and analysis of several moles while she underwent reconstructive surgery, and one was found to be cancerous.
