If a dog charges at you, baring its teeth, your first instinct might be to scream and run away. But don’t. That could get you killed. Instead, stand your ground, position yourself sideways to protect vital organs, and avoid direct eye contact – dogs see that as a threat. Doing this can help de-escalate the situation and stop the dog from attacking.
