SpaceX launches South Korean spy satellite and more, lands in California
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket launched the Korea 425 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on December 1st at 1:19pm ET for the launch of the Korea 425 Mission. Full Story: https://www.space.com/spacex-falcon-9-rocket-ireland-south-korea-satellite-webcast
One of the satellites was the Educational Irish Research Satellite-1 (EIRSAT-1) built by students from University College Dublin. Another was the first South Korean spy satellite in a set of five that SpaceX promised to complete launching by 2025.
/”There are a total of 25 spacecraft on board this mission, including KOREA’s 425, Space BD’s ISL48, SITAEL’s uHETSat, D-Orbit’s ION SCV Daring Diego, York Space Systems’ Bane, and PlanetIQ’s GNOMES-4./” according to SpaceX.
