Michael Strahan is an American television personality, journalist, and former professional football player. Michael Strahan played as a defensive end for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) for 15 years. In his final season in 2007, Michael Strahan helped the New York Giants win Super Bowl XLII over the New England Patriots. He is currently tied with T. J. Watt for the most NFL single-season quarterback sacks. On June 9, 2008, Michael Strahan retired from the NFL.
Michael Strahan has become a media personality since retiring from the NFL, appearing as a football analyst on Fox NFL Sunday, and later serving as a co-host of ABC’s Good Morning America. From 2012 to 2016, Michael Strahan was a co-host on Live! with Kelly and Michael with Kelly Ripa, for which he won two Daytime Emmy Awards. In 2014, Michael Strahan became a regular contributor on Good Morning America. That same year, Michael Strahan was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In 2016, it was announced that he would be leaving Live! to join GMA full-time. Michael Strahan hosts the current incarnation of the Pyramid game show for ABC. Michael Strahan has also had guest appearances on game shows and other programs.
