Letting The Sunlight In
Polytunnels or hoop houses are very valuable growing spaces, especially in a temperate climate like Ireland. But this cool climate also encourage the growth of algae and moss on the inside and outside of the plastic. This can significantly reduce the amount of sunlight that can come into the growing space, so washing the plastic has become a regular task in the gardens.
