Coin dealers buy a lot of Peace Dollars, anything from cull (cleaned, damaged or heavily worn) to exceptional and choice BU. However, most Peace Dollars are circulated, common dates and culls, so a coin dealer must know how to appraise these coins.
Usually a coin dealer pays a couple dollars over melt for culls, some dealers pay melt, especially if the coin is mostly worn slick or has holes and such. So count on getting around melt and up from a coin dealer for your Peace Dollars.
A complete cleaned collection is worth an average of a 1,000 in 2023, but increases if the Peace Dollars are problem free and higher grades.
Peace Dollars where struck from 1921 to 1935 but some where struck in 1964 but where melted by the US Mint. No one has discovered one so far and it would be illegal to own.
