So the other day i made a short about how alot of fans were upset about jax’s portrayal in episode 2 of digital circus.

Since then fans were accusing gooseworx of retconing or rewriting jax. I’ll break it down.

So gooseworx made a tweet saying, “A lot of people theorize that I rewrote Jax based on the reception he got from the fans, but the locked scripts for episode 2, 3, and 4 were already written before the pilot even came out.
This whole thing’s planned out in detail.”

A year ago in july goose also made a tweet prior to the release of the pilot saying that the jax fandom will be split in half once they see how much of a prick he is in the series, and it turns out goose was correct.

Personally i think the situation is silly. It reminds me of something similar that happened in the helluva boss fandom, where after season 2 episode 1 fans and people who had their brains switched off accused the showrunner of retconning a character called stella because she acted evil, even though stella was always set out as a villain from portraits and dialogue.

Unfortunately fans always headcanon characters and get upset when the show doesn’t end up the way they want it to.
