In this sermon, Spurgeon considers God’s ‘longsuffering’. Through the ages many have been puzzled that Christ has not yet returned to judge the world. Spurgeon’s day was no different, and many were rightly longing to see the Saviour.
However, from the perspective of the 21st century many of us are relieved that more time was given for us to be born, and to be saved. Let our Lord Jesus return when He sees fit!
