In November 1977, Steven Spielberg released his movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which was a financial and artistic success.

In the film, there are human encounters with extraterrestrials and, in the end, one person voluntarily decides to join the ETs and travel with them back to their planet.

The movie may be a work of fiction, but some believe something similar happened in real life in the form of the Serpo Exchange Program, which can trace its origin back to the 1947 crash of an alien craft near Roswell, New Mexico.
