Cassie is upset over having to compete for a job that she thought was already hers so she goes to Dawn to voice her frustration. Dawn tells Cassie that she has to work harder than Dev and Billy in order to prove herself despite it being an unfortunate fact of life. Dawn however does admit that Cassie deserves to be the new Chief Resident.
