The mythic Great Empire of the Dawn, in the continent of Essos ended its reign, in a terrifying manner. This is due to their last ruler, the Bloodstone Emperor.
After his father’s death, and his sister’s rise to power, he would overthrow his own sister’s, and usurp the throne, this would be known as the Blood Betrayal.
The Bloodstone Emperor’s reign would go on to be one of nothing but terror. Practicing in the dark arts, such as necromancy, and blood magic, he would torture and enslave his own people, alongside consuming human flesh.
It has long been rumored and stated that the actions of the Bloodstone Emperor, are what caused one of the most terrifying pieces in Westeros’s own history, the Long Night.
