Gigafactory Texas on 22 December 2023! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!

22 December 2023 Giga Texas images! (Part 1 of 2) 80Cybertrucks! Merry Christmas!

I had to wait several hours until the dense fog cleared, but I was able to get up to Giga Texas and I’m glad I did. Over 80 Cybertrucks were visible on the site today! Some were even being loaded up on trucks and headed off site! I’ve heard of many truckloads of Cybertrucks that have departed Giga Texas, so the production must be ramping to several dozen per day at least, I think, but this is hard to know for sure.

As a reminder, this is my last drone flight until 27 December. I will not be flying on Christmas day. I hope you understand.

Here are some additional highlights from today’s video:

I captured a big Nitrogen delivery to the west side of the 4680 battery production portion of the factory today! It appears the connections are built directly into the exterior wall. I am not sure the frequency of these deliveries, but liquid nitrogen plays an important role in the production of batteries!

The west side End-of-Line south end is getting more trenching and conduit work in preparation for the covered structure and the supercharger site. It appears more lines of trenches have been installed on either side of the original pipe and column base plate excavations. Much more conduit is visible on the south end as well. On the west side of the building, we see the three modular HVAC units have been installed and a new smaller (possibly a portable temporary unit) is being hooked up on the northwest side.

On the south end of the main building, we see a large delivery of the Sedak glass windows for the perimeter of the building and near where the first three panes were already installed. I wonder if we will see these installed along with the first three even though the steel work is not yet completed. On the southwest angled corner extension, we see many crew working on frames and rebar for the perimeter grade beam, while more footing construction is underway on the west side and near the original angled wall.

The east parking garage continues to expand, with more concrete sections and double T panels installed. The new section on the east side of the garage is now several stories tall, and growing, while footing construction further east continues.

Production of Model Ys and Cybertrucks seems noticeably higher today, with many trucks picking up vehicles and taking them off site. I have heard rumors that today may be the last day of production for Model Y’s for the rest of 2023, starting back up on 2 January. I am not sure if this also applies to Cybertrucks, but we will see next week after Christmas.
