It is with sadness that we announce the sad passing of Phill Niblock, American singer, filmmaker and cameraman, he passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

We also lost this Tuesday morning, a famous and much loved British surgeon.. Roy Yorke Calne has passed away.. he was a pioneer in organ transplantation, especially liver transplantation.

Bonaventura Pons e Sala, popularly known as Ventura Pons, unfortunately passed away this Monday… he was an award-winning Catalan film director, screenwriter and producer. After directing more than twenty theatrical works, he shot his first film in 1977, Ocaña, an intermittent portrait, officially selected by the Cannes Festival.

Unfortunately, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of veteran and much-loved actress, Sarah Rice. She played the central role of the endangered Johanna in the original Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, died of cancer at age 68.

Franz Anton Albert Beckenbauer was a German coach and footballer, unfortunately he passed away this weekend… he played as a defender, libero or midfielder. He also served as president of Bayern Munich for 15 years, a club with which his history is intertwined. His nickname is Kaiser.

From 1998 to 2019, Joan Acocella was the dance critic for The New Yorker. She also wrote for The New York Review of Books for 33 years and authored books on dance, literature and psychology, but unfortunately passed away this Monday, January 8th.
