The 2024 North Yuba Nugget Hunt is scheduled for Saturday July 27, 2024 (the last Saturday in the month of July). The location is the incredibly scenic and gold rich North Yuba River in front of the Union Flat Campground – 6 miles east of Downieville, California on Highway 49. Bring your gold pan, sluice and metal detector because a large stretch of the /”usually all claimed up/” North Yuba will be open to the public for goldseeking.

This is a wonderful gathering of the goldseeking community and is open to everyone. So bring your family, your friends and some American Flags to add to the décor and patriotic atmosphere at Camp America. There will be gold giveaways, gift giveaways (last year was a veritable pot luck miners’ Christmas in July) and plenty of socializing with new friends, old friends and some of your favorite Youtubing goldseekers.

Please keep your mining activities non-motorized and non-commercial. Please do not dig within 50 feet of the Highway 49 embankment. Please bring your own food, beverages and a friendly attitude.
